ASP.NET Video Starter Kit - Screening Content
Screening content is also referred as automatic review and action management.
In Video Starter Kit web application screening content is the process of matching user posted content with list of keywords updated by administrator using dictionary section.
Through screening process, administrator or script can review user posted content to prevent website from contents that may voilate website terms of use. It may include
- Pornography, adult or mature content
- Violent content
- Content related to racial intolerance or advocacy against any individual, group or organisation
- Hacking/cracking content
- Any other content that is illegal, promotes illegal activity or infringes on the legal rights of others
New in Video Starter Kit 5.2:
In Video Starter Kit 5.2 screening logic is re-architect and provide more flexibility to screen and encode match characters.
There are two types of screening mechanism supported by Video Starter Kit ver 5.2
- Screen: Screen and highligh characters for administrator in control panel for review
- Screen & Replace: Screen content and replace matched content with encoded words without review of administrator. e.g "book" will be encod to "b**k".
Administrator can set screening option from control panel -> settings -> configurations -> general configurations section.
